STUCK ON EARTH by T-Bruin

The piece I played last night was played 58 times in a row. All 58 times, the melody flowed flawlessly. While keeping the melody fast and choppy, I was impressed by the composer's fluid use of cadences. This piece took a completely different direction than I expected because of the deceptive cadence. I found it impressive how the vocals and the lyrics with one another create the eerie sound of an angelic war cry. I found it impressive in almost every way. Everything trades off so well, from the flowing melody to the harmony. It wouldn't have sounded any better on anything else than the instruments are chosen. The piece has something new to offer each time you hear it.

Listen and Follow       Entire Ep produced by Matt Martin. “Stuck on Earth” is a project composed of songs done during a difficult time in my life when I was injured 3 months ago and was stuck at home. I became more of a consumer and during that time and I realized there’s a lot of negativity in hip hop and instead of going against those forces I wanted to create an alternative that can live amongst modern music today but with a different message.
